The mandazi is a famous East African doughnut that is mostly used as a breakfast snack. In this recipe we flavor it lightly with some cardamom powder and adds its richness with milk that we use to bind the dough.

Add flour, sugar, cadamon, oil , milk and warm water into a big bowl.
Crush the cadamon into small pieces .Add it into the mixture.mix up everything with clean hands .
knead up the mixture untill smooth but a litle bit hard .
Cover up the dough and let it sit for about 30 minutes .
Check the dough after 30 mins , if ready put some flour on the rolling table .
Spread the dough and roll it with a pin till a little flat.
Put some oil in a cooking pot and let the oil boil.
Cut up the dough in desired shapes .dip them in the oil and fry them till brown .
Take them out and put them in an air tight container to keep them soft
