Vivienne showcased the designs in her debut collection on major runaways like Nairobi Fashion Week, where they even headlined the show on the first day of the event. Vivienne Taa greatest achievement was when they were given the opportunity to dress the Kenya’s sports men and women during the Kenya Sports Person of the Year Awards(SOYA). Actually they were the first fashion partner of the event. They dressed world marathon legend Paul Tergat, Gold medalist David Rudisha, Vivian Cheruiyot, Jemima Sumgong and Rugby 7’s greatest try scorer Collins Injera.

Vivienne has been working extra hard to build up the label. She has been developing partnership with brand ambassadors such as gospel musician and TV host Kambua who a couple of times you’ll see her in ‘Vivienne Taa’ collection, and TV personality Robert Burale. She has also designed a dress for Christian celebrity, Heather Lindsey during her visit to Kenya. Kalekye Mumo a radio personality has also rocked the collection.

Considering she had lost her job and that is when she decided to follow her passion and venture into fashion, Vivienne gave an advice to the people out there, where she said;“Not having a job does not mean you’re a failure, you can still rise above the odds and excel. You just need to find your talent and excel in it. ”Vivienne being a newbie in the fashion industry, the brand ‘Vivienne Taa’ has vastly grown to be a team of seven within one short year. She has proven to be an ideal fashion designer an upcoming designer should look-up-to.

Being aware that just highlighting 10 of them from the hundreds we have and thousands more upcoming is quite limiting, we opt not to rank them in any order of relevance, importance or achievement, but leave that to your judgement.
In addition, there’s a high chance that those we din’t manage to get on this list, probably haven’t shared a lot about their work with the public, or may not really be interested after all.
